
Head-on Crash at Sherman Island East Levee Road in Solano County
RIO VISTA, Calif. (August 20, 2024) — A head-on crash happened Tuesday near Three Mile Slough Bridge along State Route 160 in Rio Vista.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 2:30 p.m. on August 20th, near Sherman Island East Levee Road in Solano County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a silver sedan and a white Honda Accord were involved. One vehicle reportedly went over the embankment at the entrance or exit to the bridge, but it did not go into the water, the report said.
Several motorists pulled over to help those involved and paramedics responded to help anyone hurt.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the head-on crash near the bridge in Rio Vista.
