At Least 1 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Highway 160 Saturday
Rio Vista, CA (January 15, 2022) – One person died following a pileup car crash that occurred Saturday on Highway 12, KCRA News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed multiple vehicles collided on SR-12 near Highway 160 in Rio Vista. When officers arrived at the site, they found as many as six automobiles disabled in the middle of the roadway. Authorities said the incident involved two semi trucks, and four passenger cars.
The article published online mentioned the accident took place at about 8:23 a.m. when there was heavy fog in the area.
Responding medical personnel checked the conditions of all people found at the scene. After the evaluation, officials confirmed at least one person sadly died as a result of the incident. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The conditions of other parties involved in the pileup have not been discussed thus far. At this time, investigators continue to determine several unclear factors in the deadly accident on Highway 12 in Rio Vista.
