4 Killed, 6 Hurt in Head-On Collision Near Summerset Drive
Rio Vista, CA (July 27, 2022) – Several people died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 12 Wednesday evening.
According to FOX40 News, two cars crashed head-on on SR-12. Earlier reports indicated the catastrophic collision took place near Summerset Drive.
Emergency crews arrived at the accident scene shortly after 8:10 p.m. First responders found the two vehicles with significant damage.
Deadly Car Accident on Highway 12 in Rio Vista
The article published online mentioned as many as four people sadly died in the crash. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the names of the fatal victims remained undisclosed.
Authorities added six other parties sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Personal information on the people hurt in the collision have not been revealed thus far.
Police shut down the highway between Summerset Drive and Church Road to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident on Highway 12 in Rio Vista.
