Motorcyclist Injured in Rio Vista Crash on Highway 160
RIO VISTA, CA (June 18, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash on Highway 160 near the Brannan Island State Park in Rio Vista.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:06 p.m.
CHP said a pickup truck and the motorcyclist collided for an unknown reason in Rio Vista. The two crashed on Highway 160 near the Brannan Island State Recreation Area.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then found the motorcycle rider hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a portion of Highway 160 to close following the wreck. They did not mention if the other driver involved ended up hurt or if they stopped after the collision.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Rio Vista crash.
