RIPON, California (March 28, 2017) – According to California Highway Patrol dispatch team, a major injury collision involving a pedestrian was reported on South Austin Road Tuesday evening.
CHP first logged the incident when a pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle about 7:26 p.m. The accident took place at Caswell Memorial State Park.
As per the dispatch, paramedics responded to the scene to and attended to the victim who was seriously hurt upon impact. The patient, whose name has not been yet released, was then transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the car involved appeared to have stopped following the crash. Authorities will continue to gather more information and evidence to determine the cause of the collision.
