1 Injured in Riverbank Hit-and-Run Crash Near Morrill Road and Coffee Road
RIVERBANK, CA (May 25, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash near Morrill Road and Coffee Road in Riverbank.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the accident on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:04 p.m. near Modesto.
According to CHP, a driver was traveling at a high rate of speed in Riverbank. After some time, two vehicles collided near the intersection of Morrill Road and Coffee Road.
Speeding Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Patterson Road. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the speeding motorist did not stop to render aid and fled eastbound on Morrill just east of Oakdale Road. The vehicle lost a tire due to the impact of the crash.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The Riverbank hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
