RIVERSIDE, California (Thursday, February 18, 2016) – A three-vehicle traffic collision sparked a small fire tonight at the intersection of southbound Interstate 215 Freeway, north of Box Springs Road. One of the vehicles blocked the second lane. At least one party sustained injury and required ambulance transport to a nearby medical facility.
The vehicles involved included a red Honda, a green Windstar, and another vehicle of unknown make and model. One of the vehicles was disabled, unable to pull to the roadside.
The Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly contained the fire.
The incident took place tonight at about 7:25 p.m., according to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino. The police are still investigating the incident.
