RIVERSIDE, California (January 1, 2017) – Four were injured, one critically, in a traffic collision at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Jackson Street on Saturday night, according to The Press Enterprise. (map)
The accident was reported at 9:07 p.m.
As per the article, police said a pickup truck was going east on Magnolia Avenue when its driver allegedly failed to yield at a red light.
The truck then collided with an SUV which was traveling north on Jackson Street at the time.
Police affirmed that the 21-year-old motorist in the pickup truck was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition, Riverside police said in a news release. The other occupants of the vehicles had injuries that were considered moderate or lower.
The occupants of the SUV were transported to Riverside Community Hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to minor degree.
The names of the parties involved were not immediately disclosed.
