RIVERSIDE, California (September 19, 2014) – At least one person was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound 91 Freeway, just east of Tyler Street, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers reported there was a collision blocking the HOV and No. 1 lanes of the 91 Freeway between the drivers of a white 2011 Chevrolet box truck and a blue 2009 Kia Sorrento SUV. The box truck was facing the wrong way and blocking the two traffic lanes. Police say a man in the SUV appeared to be injured following the crash. Also, a witness told authorities one of the drivers was cut off by the other driver.
Paramedics responded to the crash to assist those who were injured.
“Police will investigate this crash to determine liability for anyone who was hurt in this accident,” said Attorney James Johnson.
