RIVERSIDE, California (December 16, 2016) — Several people suffered minor injuries Thursday night when a suspected DUI driver crashed into their bedroom in the 3200 block of Tangerine Way, according to the Press Enterprise.
Daniel Garcia, 36, of Riverside was driving the Toyota truck that crashed through two rooms in the home. The vehicle struck a bed occupied by a mother, father and child and pushed it through a wall into another bedroom, the report said. A 6-month-old baby was located underneath the pickup truck after the crash, but fortunately there were no serious injuries reported. The occupants did go to the hospital as a precaution.
Garcia, who was driving on a suspended license for reckless driving, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and other charges. Garcia is a neighbor of the victims.
Garcia is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
