1 Killed, 2 Injured in Riverside Crash at Chicago and Linden Sunday
RIVERSIDE (December 23, 2018) – A traffic collision killed one person and injured two others in the area of Chicago Avenue and Linden Street Sunday afternoon, according to The Press Enterprise.
The accident involving two vehicles took place on December 23 at about 1:21 p.m.
As per the article, police said a Hyundai Accent was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed when its driver failed to stop for a red signal light at West Linden Street.
The Accent then struck a Honda Civic at the intersection. The speeding car ultimately slammed into a palm tree in the area.

A female passenger of the Hyundai was partially ejected from her seat upon impact. She was later pronounced dead.
Police affirmed that the 20-year-old Carson motorist who caused the wreck suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital where the patient was listed in critical condition.
The 23-year-old Riverside man driving the Civic was hospitalized with minor wounds. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
The incident remains under investigation.
