Pedestrian Killed Near University of California Riverside Parking Lot
RIVERSIDE, California (August 24, 2017) — A man was found lying dead in the roadway after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist Wednesday night on Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash was reported just before 10 p.m., just west of Canyon Crest Drive.
After the driver fled the scene, paramedics and police arrived and found the victim already dead.
Police were alerted to the collision by a caller who found the victim in the roadway near the University of California Riverside parking lot, the report said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Riverside Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team.
