Pedestrian Killed in Riverside Crash at Arlington Avenue and Via San Jose
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 25, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Arlington Avenue and Via San Jose in Riverside.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the collision on February 25 at around 5 a.m.
The incident happened when a black Chevrolet sedan was going west on Arlington Avenue, approaching Via San Jose, in the city.
Riverside police said for an unknown reason, the car struck a female pedestrian walking in the intersection at the time.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found the victim down on the ground. She sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Riverside Community Hospital, where she died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the sedan stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. The cause of the fatal Riverside pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Arlington Avenue and Via San Jose to shut down for a time after the collision. Anyone with information can call the police at 951-826-8720
