Elderly Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Van Buren Boulevard Sunday
RIVERSIDE, Ca (September 16, 2019) – A 60-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Van Buren Boulevard Sunday evening, the Press Enterprise reported.
Officials said the fatal collision happened shortly before 8 p.m.
Emergency teams rushed to the crash site just north of Arlington Avenue. Medics reportedly found an elderly man lying unconscious on the roadway. A land ambulance rushed the victim to a hospital, but the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and died.
Meanwhile, authorities described the vehicle involved as a Chevrolet pickup. Police questioned the motorist, and later released him.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly what happened here and why.
