
Skateboard Rider Killed in Riverside Crash Near Arlington and Jones
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 19, 2023) – A crash killed a skateboard rider near Arlington Avenue and Jones Avenue in Riverside.
According to the KTLA News and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision on February 18 at about 8:30 p.m.

The incident happened when a car struck a 51-year-old man on a skateboard in the city of Riverside. He was riding in the westbound lanes of Arlington Avenue near Jones Avenue at the time.
Police said a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, traveling in the same direction, hit and knocked the skateboarder down onto the ground for an unknown reason.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the man hurt. He sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital, where he died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the 72-year-old Alta Loma man driving the Chevrolet stopped and stayed at the site following the incident.
Officers forced the area of Arlington and Jones avenues to shut down for a time after the collision. The cause of the fatal Riverside skateboard crash is still under investigation.
