1 Injured in Riverside Hit-and-Run Crash on 91 Freeway near 14th Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (October 13, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 91 Freeway near 14th Street in Riverside.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Tuesday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 7:25 p.m.
The incident happened on October 12 when several vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Riverside. They crashed on the eastbound side of the 91 Freeway near 14th Street.
The report described the cars as a 2016 white Nissan Sentra, a gray Honda Civic, a white Chevrolet and a Toyota Matrix. The Honda obtain a broken rear axle upon impact.
Multiple Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officers did not release the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and then fled the area. The Riverside hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway to shut down near 14th Street following the wreck.
