Suspect Flees Multi-Vehicle Crash on 215 Freeway in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (June 24, 2020) — A multi-vehicle collision involving a hit-and-run driver was reported Wednesday morning on the southbound Interstate 215 Freeway in Riverside.
The crash was reported at 10:04 a.m. near Central Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP report stated that the drivers of a black Kia Sportage, a white Mercdes SUV, a gray Pontiac, a white Mazda, a gray Nissan Kick and one other motorist were involved. One of the motorists took off after the collision without stopping.
Tow trucks removed the Nissan and the Mazda from the scene. Paramedics responded to help anyone who was hurt, but there were no further details.
The cause of the crash is under investigation to determine fault.
