RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (March 27, 2016) – A hit and run crash resulted in at least one person injured on South 215 Freeway Sunday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 7:08 p.m. near University Avenue.
Preliminary record stated that authorities responded to an emergency call requesting for help on the freeway.
Upon arrival at the scene, they have located at least three vehicles involved in a mishap. The CHP log mentioned a lot of vehicle descriptions from the incident—a gray Dodge Durango, a black SUV, a white SUV, a white Ford Escape, a white Chevy, and a white Toyota Tacoma. But the officers have not yet given their final word on this matter.
The force from the collision concluded in at least one party sustaining injuries of unknown severity. Responding paramedics team immediately gave medical attention to the victim.
The CHP report described the crash site having one overturned vehicle, and another wreckage blocking the carpool lane.
The suspect of this hit and run case remained at large. The officers communicated on searching for the felon who was likely on foot roaming and hidint at the University Village, as narrated in the CHP dispatch.
