At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on Escondido Freeway Wednesday
Riverside, CA (August 4, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 215, also known as Escondido Freeway, Wednesday.
Initial records indicated a gran Honda Civic spun across the southbound lanes of the freeway following a collision with another vehicle. Officials said the Honda ended up disabled near the center divider of the interstate at Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Shortly after 3:12 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the site and found at least one person with injuries. At this time, the identity of the victim and the extent of their trauma have not been revealed thus far.

Meanwhile, the CHP dispatch mentioned the second vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Several factors surrounding the accident in Riverside remained unclear. At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the exactly what happened here and why.
