Multi-Vehicle Crash in Riverside on the 215 Freeway
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (July 18, 2019) — A collision involving a motorcycle and a big rig truck was reported Thursday on the northbound Interstate 215 Freeway, just south of University Avenue.
The crash took place about 7 a.m. between several vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol. The report stated that the rider collided with a black Chevrolet Volt and then the bike crashed into the truck. The truck reportedly ran over the rider when he or she was ejected from the bike. Paramedics with the Riverside Fire Department responded to help those who were injured in the crash, but there were no further details in the CHP report.
Police issued a SigAlert due to multiple lanes being blocked and a white Kia Forte and a white Ford pickup truck were blocking the slow lane.
The crash remains under investigation to determine fault.
