Apparent Major Injuries Reported

RIVERSIDE, California (April 3, 2016) – According to The Press Enterprise, a major injury collision occurred on the 91 Freeway late Sunday night. (map)

As per a California Highway Patrol dispatch, the crash involving five cars was reported just before 10 p.m., east of 14th Street.

Witnesses told CHP said a sedan spun out of control and slammed into a barrier on the roadside, the incident log showed.

According to the article, at least one person was transported by ground ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital, with injuries described by The Press Enterprise as major.

Meanwhile, a grey sedan was seen facing sideways in the slow lane at the site of the accident.

Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
