Fresno Man, 63, Identified as Bicyclist Killed in Clovis Collision
CLOVIS, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2024) – Robby Pokorny, 63, of Fresno, died two weeks ago when a van struck him while riding a bicycle at Clovis Avenue and Saginaw Avenue in Clovis.
The deadly crash occurred around 1 p.m. on Sept. 18th, according to Your Central Valley News.
The Fresno man was riding his bicycle near the intersection when a northbound van traveling along Clovis Avenue struck him as he crossed the road.
The rider suffered major injuries and was hospitalized, but died twelve days later on Sept. 30th, the report said.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office released the victim’s name as Robby Pokorny.
Police said the driver in the van stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
Clovis Police are heading up the investigation into what happened and will determine fault.
