Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Highway 9 Crash
SARATOGA, Calif. (January 22, 2020) – Robert Caldwell, 31, of Santa Clara, has been identified as the motorcycle rider killed in a collision on Highway 9 in Saratoga late Saturday afternoon.
Robert Caldwell was reportedly riding a motorcycle northbound on the winding highway until he reached the intersection at Heather Heights Road and drifted over the center line in a sharp right curve. The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike upon impact and was run over by a passing pickup truck after he fell into the roadway.
The January 18th crash remains under investigation by police.
