Fatal Palmdale Crash 55th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard
PALMDALE, Calif. (August 8, 2022) – Ronald Conley, 64, died in a multi-vehicle crash at 55th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard.
The 3-vehicle crash also left four people with minor to major injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department and NBC News.
The Palmdale crash occurred about 4:29 p.m. on Saturday, August 6th, according to the LACFD report.
One of the vehicles was reportedly making a left-hand turn from 55th Street East onto Palmdale Boulevard. The vehicle apparently crashed into two other motorists, according to a spokesperson from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Department.
It appears there was a chain-reaction crash where a Nissan Maxima driven by Ronald Conley allegedly rear-ended a Mercedes GLE 350. Next, the Nissan reportedly crashed head-on into a Mazda CX.
Ronald Conley suffered major injuries and died on scene. His passenger and two people from the Mazda suffered minor to major injuries. Paramedics responded and transported one person by helicopter to a hospital. Meanwhile, they took two other injured people by ground ambulances to the hospital for various injuries. A fourth person suffered minor injuries, but declined an ambulance.
The cause of the crash and liability remain under investigation.
