Robert Fore Killed in Santa Ana Bicycle Accident McFadden Ave, Fairview St.
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2026) — Robert Fore, 72, was killed last Friday when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle near McFadden Avenue and Fairview Street in Santa Ana.
The deadly bicycle accident occurred just before 7 p.m. on Sept. 4, when a vehicle struck him from behind and he was thrown off the bike onto the roadway, police said. The collision was reportedly witnessed by Santa Ana police officers who were working in the area.
The 72-year-old man suffered major injuries, however, despite life-saving efforts from those officers who rushed to help him, he died on scene.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and is cooperating with traffic investigators.
Liability for the fatal crash will be determined following the ongoing investigation by the Santa Ana Police Department’s Collision Investigation Unit.
