Robert Lomack Jr., 27, ID’d as Suspect in West Marin DUI Head-On Crash
WEST MARIN, CA (May 27, 2022) – Officers detained Robert Lomack Jr. after a DUI crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in West Marin.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 27-year-old Vallejo man was under the influence of alcohol when the collision happened on Saturday.
The incident began when Robert Chevoi Dauvgnnte Lomack Jr. was driving a Honda SUV westbound on Tomales Petaluma Road in West Marin.
At the same time, David Edward Goodman was riding a BMW motorcycle east. CHP said Robert Lomack then crossed over the double yellow lines of the road.
David Goodman Seriously Injured in Wreck
In the process, the driver of the Honda slammed head-on into the rider. The Marin Independent Journal wrote that the two collided west of Twin Bridge Road.
Robert Lomack sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics took him to the Petaluma Valley Hospital for further aid.
A helicopter took David Goodman to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries. The wreck took place on May 21 at about 7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, police arrested Robert Lomack on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injury. They soon booked him into the Marin County Jail.
Records showed that the blood-alcohol level of the suspect measured at 0.28%, or more than three times the legal limit for driving. The West Marin DUI crash is still under investigation.
