2 Killed, 2 Hospitalized After Collision Near Chester
Lassen County, CA (November 12, 2021) – Robert Ramirez and Joaquin Hendrickson both suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred on Highway 32, just west of Chester.
According to Plumas News, two vehicles collided on the highway in Lassen County on November 9. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 Ford 150 was traveling west on SR-32. At about the same time, a 2018 Ram 3500 was traveling east on the highway at a stated speed of 45 to 50 miles per hour.
Officials said the Ford crossed over the centerline for an unknown reason. Given that, the Ford drove directly into the path of the oncoming Ram. The two automobiles crashed head-on, causing the Ford to careen off the south side of the roadway. The accident took place at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Per article published online, the Ford rolled down the embankment and eventually caught fire. Authorities later confirmed the two occupants in the Ford sadly died as a result of the incident.

Meanwhile, the occupants in the Ram reportedly sustained injuries after the vehicle came to a rest in the roadway. Responding paramedics found the Ram driver, and passenger with major injuries. For this reason, paramedics rushed the two patients to Enloe Medical Center in Chico for treatment. The California Highway Patrol group identified the injured driver as 24-year-old Robert Ramirez, of Woodland; and the injured passenger as 23-year-old Joaquin Hendrickson, of Woodland.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon to investigate the precise cause of the catastrophic incident.
