Rodolfo Rivas, 53, Fatally Struck by Vehicle
DATE OF INCIDENT: Monday, September 17th
September 19, 2018- According to the Selma Police Department, a man was fatally struck by a vehicle as a pedestrian earlier this week.
Authorities have been able to identify the victim as Rodolfo Rivas, 53, of Selma.
As per The Fresno Bee, Rivas was hit by a pickup truck that was going north on Highland Avenue. He was found lying in the road and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ronald Joboian, 68, Arrested For DUI
The driver of the truck, 68-year-old Ronald Joboian, was believed to be driving under the influence when he hit the pedestrian.
The Clovis man was arrested and was being held on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence causing injury or death. The Selma Police Department will handle the investigation.
