Rodolfo Rodriguez, 84, Killed in Santa Maria Crash on South Broadway
SANTA MARIA (December 27, 2018) – An elderly pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident along South Broadway Wednesday evening, according to Santa Maria Times and Noozhawk.
The victim has been identified as 84-year-old identified as Rodolfo Tovar Rodriguez, of Santa Maria.
As per the reports, police said Rodriguez was apparently attempting to cross the road when for an unknown reason he was struck by a vehicle.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the man in the southbound lanes of the roadway suffering from major injuries.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The fatal collision was reported just before 6 p.m.in the 1400 block of south Broadway.
Meanwhile, the driver involved appeared to have stopped after hitting Rodriguez and cooperated with the authorities.
