Bicycle Rider, 77, Killed in Moraga Crash is Identified
MORAGA, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2021) – Roger Russell, 77, died Friday morning in a bicycle accident on Moraga Road near Lucas Drive.
According to the The Mercury News the bicyclist was riding on Moraga Road about 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 26th when a vehicle struck the man due to unknown circumstances.

Firefighters and paramedics responded and located the gravely-injured cyclist lying on the ground.
Sadly, paramedics pronounced the patient dead at the scene shortly after the collision. Later, authorities identified the man as Roger Russell, 77.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Authorities closed Moraga Road for a few hours to investigate the bicycle accident.
The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation.
