Man Killed in Arden Arcade Pedestrian Accident is Identified
ARDEN-ARCADE, Calif. (October 5, 2021) – Roger Washington, 58, died in a pedestrian accident on Watt Avenue, just south of Whitney Avenue in Arden-Arcade.
The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on their website.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened about 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30th.
The vehicle struck the pedestrian due to unknown circumstances near the intersection of Watt Avenue and Whitney Avenue.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene near the Del Paso Country Club. They located the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Sadly, Roger Washington suffered severe injuries and died a short time after.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Investigators closed down Watt and Whitney avenues due to the collision.
Finally, the cause of the fatal Arden-Arcade pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
