North Bay College Student Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Cotati Avenue Monday
Rohnert Park, CA (July 5, 2021) – A 21-year-old student from Sonoma State University died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Cotati Avenue Monday afternoon.

According to KRON4 News, the victim was crossing the street near the 1702 block of E. Cotati Avenue in Rohnert Park. Emergency crews responded to the incident and found a body lying on the eastbound lanes of the roadway. Despite life-saving measures from paramedics, the student succumbed to their injuries and died. Police continue to withhold the name of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Primary reports indicated the motorist drove off following the collision. The article published online mentioned the driver of a 2015 Ford Fusion was pulled over on Roman Drive. Authorities identified the motorist as 19-year-old Ronald Gaither, of Penngrove.
Further investigation on the deadly pedestrian accident on Cotati Avenue is underway.
