Woman Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near Highway 101 Monday
ROHNERT PARK, Ca (September 24, 2019) – An unidentified woman was taken to a hospital following a pedestrian accident on Roberts Lake Road, the Press Democrat reported.
The collision took place near the northbound Highway 101 offramp Monday.
Preliminary investigation revealed 67-year-old Jerry Douglas was behind the wheel of a Nissan Frontier pickup headed south on Roberts Lake. When the man reached the SR-101 offramp, he reportedly struck a woman.
Officials affirmed the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk at the time of the incident.
Major Injury Pedestrian Accident in Rohnert Park, September 23
Responding medics immediately rendered aid to the woman. A land ambulance then transported the injured party to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major trauma. Authorities mentioned the woman was not carrying any identification at that time.
Meanwhile, Douglas reportedly appeared unharmed in the collision. Liabilities in the accident remained under investigation.
