Rojelio Minjarez, 39, Killed in Oxnard Crash on Channel Islands Boulevard
OXNARD, CA (February 26, 2021) – A crash killed Rojelio Minjarez along Channel Islands Boulevard in Oxnard on Thursday morning.
Th Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 39-year-old Oxnard man as the victim of the fatal bicycle accident on February 25.
The incident happened when Rojelio Minjarez was riding a bike on Channel Islands Boulevard, west of J Street. At the same time, a 2018 Ford transit van was traveling west.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and then found Minjarez lying on the ground as a result of the crash. He suffered multiple blunt force head injuries following the accident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 51-year-old Oxnard man operating the Ford stopped after hitting the cyclist.
Police affirmed that the motorist involved stayed at the site and cooperated with the officials. The cause of the tragic collision is still under investigation.
