Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Palmdale Boulevard
Palmdale, CA (May 6, 2022) – Rolando Navarro, a 44-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.
The Antelope Valley Times News reported Navarro, of Lancaster, was seen standing in the center divider of the freeway early Thursday morning. Our sources indicated a vehicle struck the pedestrian as he began crossing traffic lanes in an easterly direction. The horrible crash took place in the area near Palmdale Boulevard.
Rolando Navarro Dies in Palmdale Pedestrian Accident
Shortly after 4:55 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the victim lying unconscious on the ground. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the man but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the fatal victim as Rolando Navarro.
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old man driving the 2017 Toyota Corolla reportedly appeared unharmed after the collision.
Detectives stayed at the crash site the whole morning. They continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Palmdale.
