LOS ANGELES, California (April 21, 2016) — A car overturned in an injury crash involving two drivers Thursday afternoon on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Indiana Street, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 12:20 p.m. between a gray BMW and a second driver who may have fled the scene. The report stated that the car flipped over a couple of times and that one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The report states a possible suspect Daniel Alex Garcia may have been involved and or fled the scene of the collision. He is described as 5 foot 10 inches tall, about 220 pounds and wearing a black backpack. The report indicated he may have been injured.
An investigation is underway into the cause and liability for the crash.
