LOS ANGELES, California (July 2, 2016) – An unspecified number of people have been trapped as a result of a crash on South Interstate 710 freeway at Whittier Boulevard, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened today just before 5:00 p.m.
Consequently, the CHP log mentioned a green Ford Explorer and a gray Honda SUV were involved in a wreck. The force from the impact resulted in the Ford overturned to its side.
Further, the CHP team affirmed there were parties located trapped inside the wreckage at the scene. The trapped people possibly sustained injuries as a result of the collision. Due to coroners still working on notifying the family members of the involved, all names were withheld.
Investigation is ongoing.
