Rollover Crash 94 Freeway, Interstate 5 Freeway in San Diego
Traffic Collision on SR94 West to I-5 North Connector
San Diego, CA (March 4, 2025) – A rollover crash in San Diego happened this afternoon on the westbound 94 Freeway at the northbound I-5 transition.
The two-vehicle collision happened around 1:55 PM on Tuesday, March 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Police officers responded to the freeway where the drivers of a white SUV and a gray sedan had collided. The white SUV also collided with a black barrel attenuator before hitting a wall and overturning. The vehicle landed on its roof with airbags deployed and one person trapped.
Metro Fire and Rescue teams responded to help two patients including one who was trapped in the vehicle due to shoulder injuries. There were no immediate reports of serious or fatal injuries.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the freeway.
By 3:13 PM, roadways were cleared, though the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
