2-Vehicle Car Accident in HOV Lane
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (June 6, 2023) — A rollover crash happened Tuesday on the Costa Mesa 55 Freeway at the transition with the northbound Interstate 405 Freeway in Santa Ana.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound SR-55 around 2:46 p.m. on June 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a black Honda Civic overturned onto its roof after colliding with a black Dodge Charger sedan in the HOV lane. One of the vehicles was merging into the HOV lane when the collision occurred, the report said.
Paramedics responded to help anyone hurt in the crash and police issued a SigAlert.
It’s unknown how many were injured in the rollover crash on the 55 Freeway.
Investigators with the CHP are working to determine liability for the rollover crash.
