Hit-and-run Rollover Crash on Hammonton Smartsville Road
SMARTSVILLE, Calif. (March 26, 2020) — A rollover crash was reported Thursday afternoon on Hammonton Smartsville Road in Yuba County.
The collision took place about 12:46 p.m. near Golden Parkway and Thousand Oaks Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Yuba County Sherriff’s Office and CHP responded to the scene where apparently two juvenile boys fled on foot. It appears that at least one person was left behind with injuries as they called for a helicopter ambulance to come to the scene.
It’s unknown at this time how many were actually hurt, nor the extent of those injuries.
Police are heading up an investigation into the crash.
