Two-Vehicle Rollover Crash on State Route Highway 20
MERIDIAN, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2022) — A rollover crash on Highway 20 in Meridian happened Monday morning between a car and a semi-truck, just west of Tarke Road in Sutter County.
The collision occurred about 7:27 a.m. on Oct. 10th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch. Authorities closed down Highway 20 in both directions due to the collision between a Nissan and a semi-truck.
Paramedics with the Sutter County Fire Department responded to help at least one person with major injuries from the crash. The semi-truck hauling doubles overturned onto its side and the Nissan suffered heavy, front-end damage, the CHP report said. Police say both of the vehicles overturned during the crash and one possibly caught on fire.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Meridian crash on Highway 20.
