Minor Injury Reported in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99W
Tehama County, CA (April 1, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Highway 99w, just south of Gyle Road resulted in minor injuries Tuesday afternoon in Richfield, Tehama County.
At approximately 1:02 PM, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to reports of a crash involving a white sedan that had overturned. A second vehicle sustained moderate damage.
Emergency crews, including Tehama Cal Fire, quickly responded to the scene.
The driver of the overturned vehicle was safely extricated by deputies from the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, the report said.
Meanwhile, one of the vehicles was reportedly smoking.
Fortunately, the injuries were described as minor, and the involved parties were treated at the scene.
A tow truck was requested for both vehicles, with the sedan requiring moderate repairs due to the damage.
The CHP has cleared the scene, and traffic is now moving freely.
Drivers in the area are advised to remain cautious and aware of ongoing clean-up efforts.
