Rollover Crash on Carmenita Road in South Whittier
SOUTH WHITTIER, Calif. (May 29, 2018) — A man was critically injured in a high-speed crash when his black car crashed into a white sedan occupied by a mother and child on Carmenita Road, according to a report by On Scene TV.
The crash took place about 7:20 p.m. last night at Sunshine Avenue. The man’s vehicle was traveling southbound on Carmenita Road when it crashed into the front of a white sedan headed east on Sunshine. The black car overturned multiple times, struck a fence and a wall before hitting a parked vehicle. It landed sideways next to the parked car. The vehicle was smashed completely on all sides.
The man was rushed to UCI Medical Center with major injuries. The woman and child appeared to be uninjured, but it’s unknown if they have muscular injuries such as whiplash due to the major impact to their vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
California Accident Investigation
Police are investigating this collision to determine the cause and liability. At this point, it appears the man driving the black car could be held responsible. We also do not know others were badly hurt in the collision.
