Major Injury Collision on State Route 26 in Paloma
Calaveras County, Calif. (June 12, 2024) — A two-vehicle rollover crash happened Tuesday on State Route Highway 26 and Paloma Road in Calaveras County.
It happened at around 1:51 p.m. in the afternoon on June 11th in Paloma, an unincorporated community in Calaveras County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white Toyota Prius and a brown sedan were involved. Both vehicles sustained “major rollover damage” and the crash left lots of debris in the roadway.
One of the vehicles went roughly 40 feet off the roadway and the other about 16 feet off the roadway, the report said.
Paramedics responded and located at least one person with major, non-life threatening injuries and another person with undisclosed injuries. They transported one person by ambulance to a hospital and the other was airlifted to a trauma center.
Detectives are piecing together evidence and will determine fault for the Paloma crash on Highway 26.
