Rollover Crash on I-5 Near Sunland Blvd Blocks Lanes, Emergency Crews Respond
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 22, 2025) — A rollover crash late Tuesday morning disrupted northbound traffic on Interstate 5 Freeway near the Sunland Boulevard off-ramp in Sun Valley.
The crash, which was first reported at approximately 11:25 a.m. on April 22nd, involved two vehicles, including a black Chevrolet Corvette. The sports car reportedly overturned and came to rest right-side up, blocking the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes just south of Roscoe Boulevard. Authorities confirmed that the driver remained inside the vehicle following the rollover.
Emergency medical responders were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the incident was upgraded to require an ambulance, indicating that injuries were involved. The extent of the injuries has not been released at this time.
Jon’s Towing was called to the scene and is sending a flatbed truck to remove the damaged Corvette. Significant traffic delays were reported in the area as crews worked to clear the lanes.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Motorists are advised to avoid the area or expect delays while the scene is cleared.
