4 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash in Lemon Grove
LEMON GROVE, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2023) — Two children were badly injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle rollover crash on State Route 94 in Lemon Grove.
They were among four people hurt in the collision that happened around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16th in San Diego County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Toyota Camry and a Dodge Challenger were involved.
The children were riding in the Camry driven by their 33-year-old mother. The vehicle reportedly swerved for unknown reasons into another lane and collided with the Challenger. The Toyota overturned and ejected the 10-year-old girl and the 14-year-old boy. The children were reportedly not wearing their seatbelts.
The two vehicles wound up on the College Avenue on-ramp following the collision.
The children suffered major injuries, but they were considered non-life-threatening. Paramedics rushed them to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old woman driving the Challenger was injured in the crash. She was transported to a hospital, long with the injured mother of the two children who was driving the Camry.
The crash on state Route 94 remains under investigation.
