4 Injured in Crash Involving Speeding High-End Vehicles
VAN NUYS, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2024) – Four people were injured in a crash following an alleged race between a Mercedes-Benz and a Rolls-Royce on Sherman Way in Van Nuys.
The drivers of a Mercedes-Benz GT63 and Rolls-Royce Cullinan were allegedly speeding and possibly racing one another in the westbound lanes of Sherman Way.
Meanwhile, the drivers of a Honda Civic and a Chevrolet Traverse were both traveling in the eastbound lanes of Sherman Way. However, the Honda began to turn left into a parking lot at Sherman Circle, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
That’s when the Mercedes crashed into the right side of a Honda about 9:50 p.m. on Nov. 8th, the report said.
Upon impact, the driver of the Honda was ejected and both he and his passenger were critically injured and taken to a hospital.

At the same time, the Rolls-Royce driver attempted to avoid hitting the Honda and veered to the left where it collided with a Chevrolet Traverse and then hit the curb. The driver from the Rolls exited the car and fled on foot, police said.
Paramedics transported the male driver from the Mercedes and the driver from the Chevrolet to a hospital due to complaints of pain. Police later arrested the man from the Mercedes on suspicion of reckless driving.
