Roman Jose Lugoaceves, 47, Fatally Struck by Off-Road Vehicle at Dumont Dunes Recreation Area Saturday
San Bernardino, CA (April 3, 2021) – 47-year-old Roman Jose Lugoaceves died following a pedestrian accident at the Dumont Dunes Recreation Area, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Our sources indicated an off-road vehicle struck the male party at the recreational park. The catastrophic incident took place at about 12:40 p.m.

Shortly after the incident, medical personnel arrived at the site and found Roman Jose Lugoaceves with serious injuries. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died around 1:40 p.m. Authorities mentioned the deceased was a resident of Long Beach.
Police continue to withhold information on the operator of the off-road vehicle involved in the horrible crash.
At the moment, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the fatal collision at Dumont Dunes Recreation Area happened.
