Ronda Block, 57, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Sierra Way Near Buena Vista Drive
KERNVILLE, Kern County (August 6, 2018) – According to a local news source, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Sierra Way Friday evening.
The deceased was identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as 57-year-old Ronda Jean Block.
As per the article, Block was hit by a vehicle, for reasons still under investigation, on Sierra Way just south of Buena Vista Drive.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident Friday in Kernville
Shortly after 8:45 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the scene and found Block suffering in injuries. The victim was reportedly rushed to Kern Valley Hospital where she later died.
Authorities did not discuss whether the motorist involved stayed or not at the location after the collision.
Meanwhile, CHP determined drugs or alcohol were not factors in the incident. The exact circumstances that led to the deadly crash are still being investigated.
