1 Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Sierra Highway and Rosamond Boulevard

ROSAMOND, CA (September 7, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Sierra Highway and Rosamond Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Saturday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 5:24 a.m.

The incident happened on September 4 when a wrong-way driver struck a red Toyota head-on in Rosamond. The two crashed at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Rosamond Boulevard.

Wrong-Way Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Fastrip. They found an occupant of the Toyota left wounded as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel treated the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the victim and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist driving the wrong-way pulled into the convenience store after hitting the other car. The suspect then fled the area.

Officers forced the intersection of Sierra and Rosamond to shut down for a time following the hit-and-run crash. The collision is still under investigation.
